Что (кто) такое normal-moveout measurement - определение

Grade measurement; Arc measurements; Degree measurement; Meridian arc measurement; Gradmessung
  • Imaginary arc measurement described by [[Jules Verne]] in his book ''[[The Adventures of Three Englishmen and Three Russians in South Africa]]'' (1872).
  • Arc measurement of Eratosthenes

Measurement in quantum mechanics
  • Stern–Gerlach experiment: Silver atoms travelling through an inhomogeneous magnetic field, and being deflected up or down depending on their spin; (1) furnace, (2) beam of silver atoms, (3) inhomogeneous magnetic field, (4) classically expected result, (5) observed result
INTERACTION OF A QUANTUM SYSTEM WITH A CLASSICAL OBSERVER
Measurement in Quantum mechanics; Quantum measurement; Measurement of quantum entanglement; Quantum Measurement Problem; Measurement in quantum theory; Von Neumann measurement scheme; Lüders rule; Quantum measurement theory
In quantum physics, a measurement is the testing or manipulation of a physical system to yield a numerical result. The predictions that quantum physics makes are in general probabilistic.
Normal moveout
  • Seismic data is sorted by common midpoint and then corrected for normal moveout
In reflection seismology, normal moveout (NMO) describes the effect that the distance between a seismic source and a receiver (the offset) has on the arrival time of a reflection in the form of an increase of time with offset.Schlumberger Oilfield Glossary.
Measurement invariance
STATISTICAL PROPERTY OF MEASUREMENT THAT INDICATES THAT THE SAME CONSTRUCT IS BEING MEASURED ACROSS SOME SPECIFIED GROUPS
Measurement equivalence; Factorial invariance
Measurement invariance or measurement equivalence is a statistical property of measurement that indicates that the same construct is being measured across some specified groups. For example, measurement invariance can be used to study whether a given measure is interpreted in a conceptually similar manner by respondents representing different genders or cultural backgrounds.

Arc measurement

Arc measurement, sometimes degree measurement (German: Gradmessung), is the astrogeodetic technique of determining of the radius of Earth – more specifically, the local Earth radius of curvature of the figure of the Earth – by relating the latitude difference (sometimes also the longitude difference) and the geographic distance (arc length) surveyed between two locations on Earth's surface. The most common variant involves only astronomical latitudes and the meridian arc length and is called meridian arc measurement; other variants may involve only astronomical longitude (parallel arc measurement) or both geographic coordinates (oblique arc measurement). Arc measurement campaigns in Europe were the precursors to the International Association of Geodesy (IAG).
